If you click on the helpful futures heatmap from FinViz, you'll see that risk assets have been strong on the day--stocks, energies, metals, and AUD/USD. We're also seeing money come out of safer havens, such as 30-year Treasuries. In such a climate, it's very difficult to fade stock market strength for anything more than a very short-term trade. Not all trading days are "theme days", but when days do trade by themes, they're usually worth following.
