My coaching work applies evidence-based psychological techniques (see my background and my book on the topic) to the improvement of productivity, quality of life, teamwork, leadership, hiring best practices, and creativity/idea generation.  An important part of the "solution-focused" approach that I write about is that we can often best grow by focusing on what we do well and how we do it--and then doing more of what works for us.  The key is to know our cognitive, interpersonal, and personality strengths and leverage those in the pursuit of performance.

I wish you the best of luck in your development as a trader and in your personal evolution.  In the end, those are one and the same:  paths to becoming who we already are when we are at our best.

Beyond Health

11/2/2026 - Suppose you pursued your health and well-being as more than an ancillary activity--not just as a break from work or a routine added to the day, but as a pursuit every bit as effortful, planned, and tracked as your trading.  That would mean that you would continuously work on your exercise routines, looking for improvements in your technique and adding new routines that would add to your fitness.

How would the resulting state of super fitness impact your overall energy level?  Your relationships?  The quality of your planning, thinking, and acting in markets?

Per Shakespeare above, how would working on your super fitness build your willpower, energizing all aspects of your life?

In building our willpower, could the challenges beyond health build all aspects of our lives?

What if we're only operating on a fraction of the possible concentration/focus and energy possible to us?  What if we can only achieve greatness by working on ourselves greatly?
